Meese and Gottfried Co. which was headquartered in San Francisco California and was a prominent maker of transmission, elevating and conveying machinery until they were acquired by Link Belt in 1923. A 1916 catalog shows pictures of their machine shop and pattern shop of their 19th and Harrison Street location.
