This is a large scale and Impasto Oil on wood painting – reminiscent of works by Diego Rivera.
Harry LeMay studied in CUNY, USMM Academy in Kings Point, Cooper Union, and the Art Students League of New York. He was the vice president of the Creative and Marketing services for Capital Records and a publisher of “Keynotes” Magazine. He received a teacher Recognition Certificate from the National Foundation for Advancement in the arts in appreciation for encouraging and supporting students who have been recognized for their exceptional artistic achievement in the 1994-1995 recognition and talent search program.
In addition, Harry has participated in over twenty group exhibits and several one-man shows in New York, Saratoga Springs, Long Island, Queens and West Hollywood. His work has been seen by millions on the NBC –TV Series “You’re a Part of Art”, and he has been interviewed as a guest artist and panelist on the show on several occasions.
A twenty-five year retrospective of his work is at the Kenny Gallery of Art & Design featuring 322 pieces. His paintings, drawings and prints are represented in over 120 collections.
