Mathieu Mategot, 1910-2001
After studying at the Beaux Arts in Budapest, Mathieu Matégot moved to France in 1931 where he exercised various professions: designer of sets for the Folies Bergères, window dresser for the Lafayette galleries, stylist for Parisian fashion houses. On his return to Paris he developed a workshop for the creation of furniture with an artisanal structure His activity as a designer covers a relatively short period, going until the beginning of the 1960s. This bar cart made of steel tubing and perforated sheet metal, a Material that Mathieu Matégot was one of the first to use, are particularly representative of his work During the 1950s. NOTE: height to lower glass shelf from floor is 7 inches tall.

Condition

Good – Wear consistent with age and use. Great vintage but shows wear and age to paint., original wheels and new glass to lower shelf. Amazingly easy to roll around.
